Baby Mix got his JCB Triumph Hurdle prospects back on track when winning a competitive race for the William Hill-sponsored Adonis Juvenile Hurdle at Kempton.

Tom George's charge had made a winning British debut over jumps at Cheltenham, only to disappoint back at Prestbury Park in January, but booked his Festival place when getting the better of fellow Triumph hopeful Cheltenham now. Good ground there would be fine, but I don't think he'll mind what it's like. We are just looking forward to March."

Philip Hobbs, trainer of runner-up Sadler's Risk, said: "We came here hoping to win, so it was a bit disappointing, but he ran a good race and hopefully Cheltenham will suit him better."
